A Viking Slave's Epic Tale

“A classic epic and the love story of the century. It has richer material than Kubrik´s ‘Spartacus,’ the feudal drama of the ‘Godfather,’ the power struggle of ‘Gladiator’ and the drama of Kurosawa´s ‘Seven Samurai’.”

Lasse Svanberg, Swedish Film Institute

”Jan Fridegård is one of our greatest writers and an artist with words. With his special talent, he depicts nature and social events as would an impressionist.”

Lars Forsell, Royal Swedish Academy of Literature
