A retired Swedish teacher who didn’t get sufficient rehabilitation after a severe cancer operation was advised by a friend to have ayurvedic treatment. “What the devil is ayurveda?” she asked to which her friend replied “Don’t you worry, just come to India and you’ll see.”

After seeing the positive effects of the treatment, she was convinced of this new way of rehabilitation. The treatment gave amazing results but the conditions at the clinic were very poor. Being a retired teacher and leadership educator, she worked together with the Head Doctor to improve both the clinic’s administration and its infrastructure. She became highly respected in the village, where everyone now calls her “Mum.”
